Sometimes it can be great fun pretending you have the bank balance of the Packers... LOL
One of my favourite past-times is a trick called 'window shopping'. Going to very nice boutiques, and having fun looking at all sorts of items that you'd never RATIONALLY spend that much money on. So off to Emporium we went.
Drooled over the Balenciaga bag (you know these things are expensive when they are sans pricetag, and there are pseudo sales assistants/security at the windows!); and the Alexander McQueen shoes that were in the 4-figure vicinity. Who knews shoes could cost that much!
Also had great fun checking out the menus at Freestyle Tout, Wagamama, Meccah Bah, Depot and Capri. Have GOT to try a Capri pizza one of these days.
Then took the long way home via James St and Newfarm Park.
It's fun pretending you can spend it, even if you'd never dream of doing so!

Vox gets Vacced
Well Vox had his second lot of puppy vaccinations. Last ones for the year.
This dog amazes me with how well he takes it all. Gets his temp taken in the most unglamorous of ways; gets a shot in his back; gets a shot up his nose; AND gets his toenails clippered - all without a whimper. Perfect dog! Pity he doesn't do the same when he has a bath, LOL.
The vet there is just lovely. Cora is so great with him, and is a wealth of knowledge. Next time we go he's getting 'done', and she's great with telling us all we need to know.
He loves it there. Loves the girls, loves the other dogs, perfectly behaved (once he gets his 'bounce' out of the way). Glad he likes the car too - much better than a dog who vomits the whole way.
Oh - and he's 9.6kgs now. Not quite as big as they thought he'd be by this stage - so thinking he might not be the giant we expected. All depends as to whether he grows in width, or in length. Looks more like length at this stage.
Well that's done. Happy dog back under quarantine for the next few days, just until it all kicks in.

Soccer Shenanigans
Well, we're just home from Brad's soccer game. They lost 5-0. Not good by anyone's standards - considering last week they were tied for first.
Tough game - just some sloppy ball handling. The second half was a lot better, but unfortunately not enough to rectify the earlier problems.
FREEZING cold out. I had a singlet, a shirt, a long sleeved shirt and a jumper on. THEN needed to get my gloves, beanie and snow jacket out. Plus wrapped myself in the sleeping bag. It wasn't that cold out - it was the wind that was making it feel so horrible.
Good to get home and have a coffee. Would have suggested stopping in at La Dolce Vita (Park Rd), but B was a wee bit too smelly!!!

Today's jottings
Today was mostly spent cleaning bits and pieces of the house. Finally got onto the last of the dishes (the annoying fiddly ones like graters and saucepans, which seem to take forever to get spotless), and wiped down ALL the bench spaces. Which is hard going, when you have condiments and containers of baking stuffs all over the place! But at least it's done now.
Also washed the dog - which is always the circus of the day. Vox HATES water with a passion. I make it a good temperature, I give him treats whilst bathing him (he has to be in a full bath of water, else it's useless), I do it very gently whilst speaking calmly and nicely to him - you'd still think I was pouring acid all over the dog. At least I put newspaper all over the bathroom floor, else it would be worse, with all the aborted attempts to jump out of the water. SIGH. Then whilst he's getting dried off (feat in itself to get him to stay in long enough so I can get the soap off of him!), decides to do a widdle in the ONE place there wasn't newspaper. GRRR! So, dog goes outside and gets a smack - Sasch ends up washing the bathroom floor, and having to do about 3 loads of washing for all the towels and clothes he managed to soak. Husband has been told we are investing in hydrobathing from now on - I've given up.
With the leftover water, decided would wash the kitchen floor. Which evolved into a sweep and vacuum as well. Which then migrated into vacuuming the rug in the lounge.
So yes - methinks Sasch did her quota of housework now.

Well, here goes nothing
Welcome to the blog that is Sasch. Don't know what will go in here yet. Probably a mixture of things we do; work stuff that has me bogged down; articles that make my blood boil. And no doubt a hefty dose of my impassioned frustrations at the world around me. LOL.
Have fun, read when you want. Formatting will be the thing that puts me back, but one can only try, right???
